Kelly Ramos

Kelly Ramos (Raquel Tisha R. Palaganas) is a visual artist whose playful art practice
sometimes delves into notions of memory and loss.

As a cultural worker, she has been from the north to the south of the Philippines, from the Cordilleras to Mindanao. She was co-founder of the Oro Art Guild and Sulong Likha, was at one time or other the Visual Arts Director of Red Lambago Arts Collective, Vice President of the Baguio Arts Guild, and President of the Baguio Writers Group.

Kelly has been painting since her elementary years in Saturday workshops. She has
won a number of art awards as a child, and went on to study Fine Arts at the
University of the Philippines in Diliman. She dropped out of art school on her thesis
year but went on to exhibit extensively in venues such as the Cultural Center of the
Philippines, the National Museum, and the Bencab Museum in Baguio. She
works with oil, watercolor, ink.

After living and working in Baguio for eight years, she recently moved back to her
hometown in Cagayan de Oro where she now works as a curator for a museum.
